Mapped drive requires reboot
Hi, Im running XP pro with latest service packs and office 2002 sp3 and
every time I delete and remap a new network I must reboot to get it to appear when accessing it through MS word. If I browse to the network drive using explorer it appears on the list but if I open MS word and attempt to access the same mapped drive the old deleted drive is listed not the new one. On every other PC with the same setup it works fine Im a bit puzzled with this one! |

You probably need to close Word and it may still be running if you use it as
your Outlook e-mail editor. Check what's running with CTRL+ALT+DEL. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Monkey1888 wrote: Hi, I'm running XP pro with latest service packs and office 2002 sp3 and every time I delete and remap a new network I must reboot to get it to appear when accessing it through MS word. Just make sure that Word really is closed before remapping.
