Default steps to create a simple Multiplication formaula in word doc

I am creating a table on a word doc. Two of the columns need to be
multiplied. I would like to create a templet with the formula. What are the
steps for such a formula. Is it possible?

With the cursor in the cell, try Table/Formula.
