Unable to rotate text box in Word2003. Copy and Paste into Word with data
only creates a page that overflows to right, and is unreadable. Rotate unavailable in Word, if text box and linked boxes created. Was able to create text boxes with links, re-oriented text [bottom-up], but pasting data removed all formatting, and spreadsheet header data. If you paste data from Excel, you need to use Paste Special from the Edit menu. Then, if you do not need a linked object, use any of the Picture format, if you need a linked object, use the Bitmap format. Finally, make sure that the pasted object is not inline with the text and then you will be able to rotate it. If all this is too much trouble, why not create a page that is 6x9 instead of 9x6? -- Salut! _______________________________________ Jean-Guy Marcil - Word MVP ISTOO Word MVP site: http://www.word.mvps.org |

Okay - Paste Special, using picture format = That works, but very small type,
and header is lost. Paste places whole spreadsheet, which is really 3 pages long onto one page, very small type (maybe 4). Rotating works, but font size does not change, and last 2 pages off page. Paste places whole spreadsheet, I do not think you can copy/paste a spreadsheet AND include the Excel header at the same time. I have never seen it done. You should probably ask in an Excel group (unless someone here knows how to do this) about this (and, if they tell you it is possible, please, report back here!) which is really 3 pages long onto one page, very small type (maybe How can you put a spreadsheet worth 3 pages on a 9x6 page? If it is too big, all you can do is reduce the pasted object so that it fits. A pasted object cannot overflow on to another page. If you must do that, divide your spreadsheet in three areas, and do 3 paste actions. 4). Rotating works, but font size does not change, and last 2 pages off page. Please, it would help if you wrote complete sentences... Sometimes, if we guess the missing words, we can get it wrong., and consequently give inappropriate advice, thereby wasting everybody's time. If you really want the page header from Excel, you can create a PDF of
the page from Excel, then export the page from Acrobat to EPS or TIFF, etc. That will give you a graphic of the entire page, with good resolution. If you don't have Acrobat, then there are alternatives. You may wish to re-examine the need for the Excel header. Obviously, when you cram an entire page from Excel into a Word page, things (including text) may get scaled down. Maybe that page needs to be a foldout, sized for the spreadsheet you're trying to display? |

Change page size to 9x6 causes two problems. Page number footer also changes
to the 9 size (right side on book). Headers also missing, and data overflows to bottom. "Jean-Guy Marcil" wrote: Bob was telling us: Bob nous racontait que : Unable to rotate text box in Word2003. If you put a section break (next page) before and after the part where you
want the landscape pages you can turn off the page numbering in that section so you don't get any numbers at all, you can then restart the numbering after the last section break.
