Default Adding lines before tables

Sometimes my table is up at the top of the page. I know there's a way
to enter a blank line before the table but I can't figure it out. Can
anyone help?

Ctrl+Home to get to the top of the document, then press Enter. This only
works in the very first cell of a table that is the first thing in a
document.

If the table is at the start of the document, put your cursor in first cell,
and use TablesSplit Table.

If the table has pushed over to a new page then you would need to add your
blank line before it (on the previous page) and use Keep With Next or some
other method to force it over to the same page as the table.
