Default headers & footers

Hi

When I print a document in WRD 2003, the text in my footer is further away
from the edge of the page than in my header even though I've set them both to
1.25 cm in Page Setup. (Btw the top anbd bottom margins are set to 3cm). And
yet there is this discrepency when I print.

Can anyone tell me what is going on?

PS I can't seem to reply to say thanks to Shauna Kelly for an earlier post
about numbering the normal.dot. I'd like to do it here on the off chance
Shauna reads this. Thanks for the link. I'm sorted now.

Many thanks
Jackie D

Make sure there are no extra, empty paragraphs in the header or footer or
Space Before the header paragraph. If the discrepancy is relatively small,
however, it may be caused by the default leading (line spacing) built into
the font. If you are determined to make the spacing even, you can reduce the
header margin or set the line spacing to an Exact amount that is less than
the default Single spacing.
