Default Help fixing a corrupt word file!

I recovered a word document i accidentally deleted, but now when I open
it, it asks for encoding and comes out as gibberish. I have tried
various methods of fixing it, including trying to recover the text,
saving it as a link, andusin various programs. I really need to get
this file back, any help is appreciated.
