What is the best way to prepare a timeline wtih insertions both above the
actual date-line and below the line?

Hi Craig:

I would to go to the Microsoft site and download their timeline template.
It's very good and will do what you are requesting in a timeline. I've used
it myself! I hope this is helpful to you. Follow the link below to their

In a graphics program or a program designed to produce time lines such as
TimeMap.
