Which version of Word? Some work differently, but assuming 2002-2003, go to
ToolsOptionsSecurity while the doc is open and you will find what you are looking for. HTH |:) "Mad in Montana" wrote: I want to be able to enter a password for a Word document and if someone else tries to open the document they will have to enter the password before the Word document will open. |

In other versions you will need to look for the"Save" tab instead of the
"Security" tab. You can also access this option from the "Save" menu by clicking on the "Tools" button at the top right of the screen and choosing the "General Options" from the drop down menu. The option to password protect the document is towards the bottom of the window. -- Thanks, Connie "Mad in Montana" wrote: I want to be able to enter a password for a Word document and if someone else tries to open the document they will have to enter the password before the Word document will open. |
