Template does not pull in Headers and Footers
Does anyone know what would prevent the headers and footers from displaying
when a template is attached to a document? There is a specific header and footer in the template, but Word does recognize it and I have had to cut and paste it individually into each document from the template in order to get it to display correctly. |

Template does not pull in Headers and Footers
What prevents it, is that Word was never designed to do that. Read
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/atta...ate/index.html for enlightenment. To get headers/footers and any other content from a template, create a new document based on the template. Otherwise, you're stuck with cut and paste, or a macro. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. Template does not pull in Headers and Footers
Attaching a template provides styles, macros, AutoText entries, and
toolbars/menus but no content. See http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/atta...ate/index.html Note that in this case the easiest approach is to create a new document based on the template and paste your content into it. -- Suzanne S.
