Default Template does not pull in Headers and Footers

Does anyone know what would prevent the headers and footers from displaying
when a template is attached to a document?

There is a specific header and footer in the template, but Word does
recognize it and I have had to cut and paste it individually into each
document from the template in order to get it to display correctly.

What prevents it, is that Word was never designed to do that. Read
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/atta...ate/index.html for enlightenment.

To get headers/footers and any other content from a template, create a new
document based on the template. Otherwise, you're stuck with cut and paste,
or a macro.

Attaching a template provides styles, macros, AutoText entries, and
toolbars/menus but no content. See
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/atta...ate/index.html

Note that in this case the easiest approach is to create a new document
based on the template and paste your content into it.
