Disabling "show marking" when Word starts
I have searches through a lot of sites, but can't find any answer how to turn
marking off when Word starts up. I have the Word 2003, and I do not know if "show marking" is the right translation of the menu in Word. There is Files, Edit and in my word the next menu is "vis", and then the command before "show full screen", I am thinking of. Hoping some can help |

Disabling "show marking" when Word starts
Hi Jens:
The "Show Markup" command shows tracked changes and comments if any exist in the document. I recommend that you leave it permanently turned ON so you will always be aware if Revision Marking is enabled. If you turn it OFF while Word is tracking changes, Word continues to collect revisions until eventually the file becomes too complex and the document corrupts. To enable/disable the tracking of changes itself, double-click the TRK button at the extreme bottom of the screen in the status bar, or use ToolsTrack Changes... It may be that you are looking for the Show/Hide command, which hides non-printing characters. That's the black backwards P symbol on the Standard toolbar. You can also get to it via ToolsOptionsViewNonprinting characters. Hope this helps On 1/10/06 9:48 PM, in article , "Jens Kristian Jensen" Jens Kristian wrote: I have searches through a lot of sites, but can't find any answer how to turn marking off when Word starts up.
