Default word and 64 bit w vista

I would like to buy Word (student version) but I cannot tell if it is
compatible with Window Vista and my computer is 64 bit. I wish I had never
bought 64 bit as it limits me on old programs.

Yes, every current version of Office is compatible with 64-bit Vista.
In fact, most 32-bit programs are capable of running on 64-bit Windows
of all versions. The exceptions are mostly drivers for hardware such
as printers, scanners, and so forth.
