Default Word 2002 on Vista

Hi -, I installed Word 2002 from my Small Business Enterprise disc which I
used on an XP system. Excel and Outlook work fine, but Word will not save
documents correctly, it is defaulting to Wordpad. Can anybody suggest what I
might need (an update or a setting change). Not very technical so any
responses should be 'idiot proof'. Thanks very much.

Do you mean that documents saved as Word DOC format appear as WordPad files
in Windows Explorer? If that is the case
