Default Smallest RTF file which can import or embed an image

Hello,

i would like to have the smallest rtf file to import or embed an image.
Right now, this is what i have:

For an embedded image:
{\rtf1\ansi
{\pict \pngblip 89... (hexdump of png file) ...82 }
}

This doesn't work in Wordpad (XP Home SP2) but works for Word 2002.

For a linked image:
{\rtf1\ansi
{\fonttbl\f0\fnil Monospaced;}
\par {{\field\fldpriv{\*\fldinst{\\import c:\image.png}}{\fldrslt }}}
}

Same (doesn't work in Wordpad but works for Word 2002).

Thanks for your help
