What property makes a table lose its' "adjustability?
Sometimes I'm working with a table and I try to manually adjust the width and
height of a table, and I'm able to do so by hovering the mouse pointer until it forms 2 parallel lines with tiny arrows. But there are times when I do the same thing and the row line or column line just snaps back to its' original size. What causes that and is there anything I can do about it? |

Disabling "Automatically resize to fit contents" will help, but sometimes
"snap to grid" is the problem. If so, you can use Alt+drag to override the grid and make fine adjustments. See http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/TblsFldsFms/TableBasics.htm -- Suzanne S.
