has anyone ever successfully converted a word perfect database over to a word
database ready for a mail merge? If so how do you do it please?

I have not used any version of WP since DOS Ver 5.1.
That version offered a host of capabilities for export/conversion.

Word uses tables for its database.
I recall Word Tables having the capability to import or export to DBF 3 or
4.

Both DBF versions are compatable with many software's.
Ver 3 import requires naming and defining fields.
Ver 4 imports is entirely automatic.
