Default What is the confirmation code?

Hello,

I have recently purchased a new laptop. My old laptop had windows vista but
was stolen from my car which was broken into. This new laptop has microsoft
word 2003. My old model had microsoft 2007 so I removed the 2003 version from
my newly purhased one and re-installed the Office 2007 disk from my
possessions onto the new PC but it is asking me to activate the application.

It is then asking me to admit a confirmation code and saying that this is
already installed. But surely this pack that I received with my initial model
can be installed again in another pc such as this one. Afterall these packs
are quite expensive.

My case is sincere and warrants immediate attention.

What can i do to successfully run office 2007 on this new laptop without
having to consume time looking to activate it online which does not give the
desired result?

Thank you

Kind regards

Hi Tucker,

If the Office 2007 edition was an 'OEM' one (i.e. preinstalled with the pc) then generally the OEM copy is licensed to the machine
where it's first activated. Retail editions, on the other hand, are licensed to individuals who can then move it to another
machine.

You can use the telephone activation method to explain the scenario to one of the MS activation folks if you're not able to activate
online.
