Thumbs up Answer: How can I bold a symbol in an Equation object in Word 2003?

  1. Double-click on the Equation object to open the Equation Editor.
  2. Click on the symbol you want to bold.
  3. From the menu bar, select "Format" and then "Character".
  4. In the "Font" tab, select "Bold" and click "OK".
  5. The symbol should now appear in bold within the Equation object.

If the above steps do not work, you can try selecting the entire equation object and then applying bold formatting to the entire equation. To do this, follow these steps:
  1. Click on the Equation object to select it.
  2. From the menu bar, select "Format" and then "Object".
  3. In the "Object" tab, select "Text Format" and then "Bold".
  4. Click "OK".
  5. The entire Equation object should now appear in bold.
