Default Word is extremely slow when connected to internet

Whenever I am online, Word (and PowerPoint for that matter) slows down to the
point of not being able to use it. Occasionally it close altogether. No
problem when not online. Have run several spyware programs and anti virus
programs. Nothing detected.

Hi Randy

If you have Word 2003, you could try this.

Help Customer Feedback Options. Click Online content, and then un-tick all
the options.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Shauna, I do have Word 2003 and did what you suggested, but no change
that I can see so far. Any other thoughts?
