Thanks for any help.
My coworker is putting a hyperlink in a Word doc, and goes thru right click,
hyperlink, a couple folders up to desktop, then My Network Places, and
selects a file a couple folders down. When his computer (but my computer
doesn't seem to do this) does this, it puts a "..." in the beginning, like
"\...\...\...\myfile.xls". Does anyone know how to turn off the "..." but put
in the real text?

Right-click the link and choose the Edit Hyperlink command from the context
menu. Type the desired "Text to display."

Note that if what your co-worker is seeing is something like { HYPERLINK
"\...\...\...\myfile.xls" }, he is displaying field codes. Turn that off by
pressing Alt+F9.
