Default word not fully maximized

Hello,
When I maximize Word,
It is part off of my screen.
The top does not go to the top of my screen.
and the bottom is going below the screen.
is there a way to re-set the max position?
thanks

Don't maximize. Drag the edges of the open window to the size that you would
like. Start by draging the top down a distance. Then move the window up to
where the bottom is visible, the drag the window near the top, to the left
and to the right and then near the bottom. Close Word. Open Word, open your
documents. They will open at this size until you change them.

Is it only Word that does this?
If it happens with all programs, maybe you need to adjust the settings on
your monitor, to get the edges of the picture lined up with the edges of the
screen.
If it only happens with Word, somthing pretty weird is going on, and I can
only suggest you use
Chuck's idea until a better solution comes along...
