Linking Excel tables in Word?
I have been trying to link cells from one embedded excel table to another
embedded table in word. I use paste special to link the cells. For some reason, the link does not update when I change the source table. Does anyone know a good way to keep the link from breaking or a better way to link the cells? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Foster |

Hi ?B?Rm9zdGVy?=,
I have been trying to link cells from one embedded excel table to another embedded table in word. I use paste special to link the cells. You can't link from one embedded object to another, at least, not reliably. I've managed to do it in Word 2003, but only for the current session with the document. Once it's been closed and re-opened, the link is gone. In more recent versions of Word, you can link relatively reliably between the document and an embedded sheet. Don't know if you could do this to force the link back to another sheet, though. Never tried that...
