Lightweight version of MS Word
I am looking for latency figures (from experience) of
deploying MS Word for approximately 8000 concurrent ( and distributed ) users on a terminal server / app server. The bandwidth available is aprrox. 2Mb. Also is there a light weight version of MS Word or plugins that can be used for integration with a Java Applet ? Thanks in advance. |

You have asked this question in an end user NG. For a better chance of
attracting the attention of those who can answer it, post instead in microsoft.public.word.setup.networking or microsoft.public.office.setup. AFAIK, there is no "lite" version of Word/Office, but you can choose a "Minimal" install, or perhaps the Word viewer (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...4C87-8732-48D5 -8689-AB826E7B8FDF&displaylang=en) would satisfy your needs. -- Suzanne S.
