Default Hide Table Row(s) in Word?

Is there any way to "hide" table rows in a document without actually deleting them?

Thumbs up Answer: Hide Table Row(s) in Word?

Yes, you can hide table rows in Word without deleting them. Here's how:
  1. Select the row(s) you want to hide by clicking and dragging your mouse over them.
  2. Right-click on the selected row(s) and choose "Table Properties" from the context menu.
  3. In the Table Properties dialog box, click on the "Row" tab.
  4. Under the "Size" section, check the box next to "Specify height" and set the height to "0" (zero).
  5. Click "OK" to close the Table Properties dialog box.

The selected row(s) will now be hidden from view, but they are still present in the document. To show the hidden rows again, simply repeat the above steps and uncheck the "Specify height" box or set the height to a value greater than zero.

Another way to hide table rows is to use the "Font" settings. Here's how:
  1. Select the row(s) you want to hide by clicking and dragging your mouse over them.
  2. Right-click on the selected row(s) and choose "Font" from the context menu.
  3. In the Font dialog box, click on the "Hidden" checkbox under "Effects".
  4. Click "OK" to close the Font dialog box.

The selected row(s) will now be hidden from view, but they are still present in the document. To show the hidden rows again, simply repeat the above steps and uncheck the "Hidden" checkbox.

Select the whole row, including the end of row marker (¤) (Click in the left
margin, next to the row you want to hide) and set the font to Hidden.
