Can a Field Prompt a Second Page?
I am creating a questionnaire & was wondering if a specific response can
cause additional pages to be displayed. For instance; if someone checks the "Dependant" box I would like an additional page to display for that information. If they do not check the Dependant box I do not want the to see the additional questions. Thank you for your help -Mark |

Yes. Normally I would do this with the extra information stored as an
AutoText entry. I would use an on-exit macro for the checkbox to check the status of the box and if it is checked, to insert the AutoText and reprotect the form without resetting. This is relatively simple with experience. The first time you try it, prepare to spend at least a day on it. Note, I would simply insert the additional text and let it flow onto the next page as appropriate rather than inserting a page break. If a page break is needed, format the first paragraph of the inserted text to be "page break before" rather than including a manual page break. I assume that what you are talking about is what Word calls an "online form." For more about online forms including on-exit macros and document protection, follow the links at http://addbalance.com/word/wordwebresources.htm#Forms or http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customizat...nTheBlanks.htm especially Dian Chapman's series of articles.
