why are there symbols when I copy and paste
When I copy and paste from word to my online school format, symbols show up
for things like quotes and apostrophe's. Any idea how I can fix this? Thank You, Mary |

why are there symbols when I copy and paste
In your Word document, turn off the _auto format as you type_ that changes
straight quotes to curly (aka "smart") quotes. Word's smart quotes are not recognized by other encoding systems.
