Default WORD Security Update

MS recently issued a security update for WORD-2000.

The update was downloaded. The installation process required installing the
CD for €śOFFICE 2000 SR-1 Premium€ť.

My CD is marked €śOFFICE 2000 Premium€ť.
I got the error message: €śOFFICE 2000 Premium is not a valid package€ť.

I tried the suggested option of downloading a larger update package that
might not require a CD. This option still required the above CD and thus
failed.

How can I install the security update for WORD 2000?

My system:
WINDOWS 2000 PRO, Version 5.0, SP-4.
WORD 2000 9.0 SP-3, SR-1a installed.

Thank you for your help.

I don't have the answer, but I have the same problem. I just posted it to
microsoft.public.officeupdate. If I get an answer, I'll post it here.

I got this reply in the other newsgroup:

Please download and install from
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/i...llfile-enu.exe.

As indicated in my original posting, I have ALL previous patches and updates
installed, including SP-3 and SR-1a. I also have the original installation
CD. Still, the latest security update cannot be installed.

There is evidently a BUG that Microsoft should take care of.
