wrote: I am writing my first book and I want to type it into a book format There is no single format for books; there are many, and which you choose depends on what sort of book you intend to write. Further, if you plan to submit your work to commercial publishers, most of them don't want you to do any kind of formatting except that which they specify. Contact a few of them and ask for their manuscript guidelines. For some hints and links to using Word to create a book-length manuscript, see http://daiya.mvps.org/bookword.htm. -- Regards, Jay Freedman Microsoft Word MVP FAQ: http://word.mvps.org Email cannot be acknowledged; please post all follow-ups to the newsgroup so all may benefit. |
