Form fields created in Word will not convert to a PDF; why?
Once I have created a Word document and chosen text for the form fields, I
can't underline the form field without the lines moving...also, if I just forget about lines and try to convert the document to a PDF, once I go into the form the handtool will not point & allow the user to complete the form; it is as if the fields have disappeared. What am I doing wrong? |

Form fields created in Word will not convert to a PDF; why?
There are a couple of issues here
1. If a form is intended to be filled in on a PC it doesn't need lines, however you could insert the form fields in a table and put bottom borders on the relevant cells. 2. Word has no ability to create fillable forms in PDF format. For that you need Acrobat (and I believe the function was introduced with Acrobat v8) Ask in an Acrobat forum. -- Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org Kirkpatrick1959 wrote: Once I have created a Word document and chosen text for the form fields, I can't underline the form field without the lines moving...also, if I just forget about lines and try to convert the document to a PDF, once I go into the form the handtool will not point & allow the user to complete the form; it is as if the fields have disappeared.
