Updating and managing "fields"
I inherited a technical manual when I started this new job, the manual is
oblviously in word and has 85 pages, the table of contents is proving to be a bit of a pain. I've modified different parts of the whole document and now I'm ready for the table of contents to be updated. when I right click on it and tell it to update the whole field is inserts certain text and pictures from the document. I'm guessing it's because when I inserted the new info I didn't assign the proper definition, there's all the different predefined hyper links and I'm not sure which to use to get the correct result, HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP |

Updating and managing "fields"
See http://www.ShaunaKelly.com/word/toc/CreateATOC.html for starters. Make
sure that you have the appropriate heading styles applied to the intended headings (and nothing else). -- Suzanne S.
