Tools | Letters and Mailings | Mail Merge. But a data source for a mail
merge is just a table.

Suzanne has provided the direct answer, but if you are saving addresses,
then do so in Outlook contacts lists and assign categories as required, then
use the method described at http://www.gmayor.com/mailmerge_from_outlook.htm
..

Note, however, that you may not be able to mail merge from Outlook unless it
is your default email client.

You should be able to merge (starting from Outlook) whether or not Outlook
is your default e-mail client.
However if you merge the completed document to e-mail, it will be directed
to the Outlook outbox (and not that of your default e-mail client).

I haven't tried it starting from Outlook (since I have only a couple of
addresses in my Contacts list, inserted for testing purposes), but it
definitely doesn't work from Word.

Ah, but the original link concerned merging from Outlook - and it certainly
works from there, with the proviso mentioned in my last post Merging from
Outlook releases the power of the function to perform sophisticated merges.
