I have written 20 pages text in Ms. Word including more than 30 headings, now
i want to automaticaly generate Serial Nos. on Headings. is this possible,
plz help me on this matter.

you don't currently plan to number any but the Level 1 headings, use an
outline-numbered list anyway; this will come in handy if you later change
your mind, but, more importantly, the Outline Numbered tab of Format |
Bullets and Numbering is the only one that allows you to associate a
numbering scheme with a particular style, which helps considerably in making
the numbering stable.
