You need to PDF the document which depending on the version of Word will
need a third party add-in such as Adobe Acrobat Suite. With Word 2007, you
can download an add-in from the Microsoft Office Support site.

But as JoAnn says, anything that can be viewed on screen, can be copied and
edited. There are just varying degrees of difficulties that can be put in
place - but there is no 100% secure solution.
