Interdependent drop-down boxes in Word forms (part 2)
This question relates to my "part 1" question. In addition to chapter names,
each chapter in my organization is assigned a chapter number. I'd like to be able to have a user pick only one of the two--the number or the name--from a drop-down box and have the other box fill in automatically. Is this possible? I should have noted in "part 1" that I have essentially no ability to program in Visual Basic. |

Interdependent drop-down boxes in Word forms (part 2)
Further to the information suggested in part 1,
See the article "How to create a Userform" at: http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Userforms/CreateAUserForm.htm -- Hope this helps. Please reply to the newsgroup unless you wish to avail yourself of my services on a paid consulting basis. Doug Robbins - Word MVP "RBLampert" wrote in message ... Interdependent drop-down boxes in Word forms (part 2)
Thanks, Doug. Unless I was looking at the wrong page of the site you
referred me to, that didn't seem to help. The good news is that the more I think about it, the more it seems that there's a simpler answer: just put the chapter number and chapter name in the same drop-down box entry. So far as I know, no one's doing any kind of automated analysis of the form this data appears on, so there's no reason to separate the number and name into separate data fields. That will also let me free up a little space on the form. Thanks for trying, anyway. "RBLampert" wrote: This question relates to my "part 1" question.
