Default HELP: cannot open a recovered file

Hello, everyone, i am new here and have a question regarding a serious problem i have. Some time ago i deleted a folder, which was created with a program 'MS Word' (a part of MS Office 2007) and, as usual (), after the few reinstallations of Windows i missed it and recovered using a program 'Recover My Files'. The file was recovered succesfully, however it cannot be opened. When i try to open it, the message 'Word cannot start the converter mswrd632' appears. I tried opening it with some other text reading programs, but that did not help. The information is very important to me and the text is large enough for rewritting it once again.
May anyone suggest me any method to recover information from my folder? I honestly believe there is another way for fixing my problem, however i am not sure, which.
Thankl you very much for any help and sorry if some similar threads already exist (if so, may my question be replaced to the appropriate thread).
