Default When were the superscripts added to word

I need to find out when word was first able to handle superscripts

Why? I am pretty sure that they were available from even the first DOS
version.

I was using Microsoft Word for a Mac back in the late 80s to write my thesis,
and it had superscript then.

Myself and a colleague are trying to determine when a document was created,
we think it's a fake! Your post was very useful.

Open the document in Word - Press ALT+SHIFT+F11 and the metadata at the
beginning of the document will probably tell you what you want to know,
though this too is editable.
