Default Can you lighten the percent of opacity in the highlighter feature.

In the old Word, I could change the percentage of opacity of the color I was
using to highlight something in a document. In other words, I could make the
highlight color very light or dark, I can't find out how this does that if it
does. I was using a very old word, so I skipped a couple of generations of
it. Did they do away with that feature?

This has never been possible with highlighting, AFAIK, but you can apply a
percentage to "shading" (Format | Borders and Shading), which can also be
applied to text.
