printing envelopes from a letter merge
How can I create envelopes from a letter merge that I have already printed -
without going out and re-creating the recipients? |

Just use the same datasource that you used to create the letters.

Thanks Doug. The data source I used had 400+ names in it and when I opened
it I only selected 50+ of them. I "cleared all" then put checks in front of the one I wanted. Then I printed my letters. Is there a way I can now just print thouse 50+ envelopes (to go along with the 50+ letters) without going through and opening the 400+ data source and re-selecting the 50+ all over again??? Not really. But for next time, do an initial mailmerge with a catalog (or
XP and 2003, directory) type mailmerge main document when you put the mergefields inside the cells of a single row table. When you execute that merge, you will get a table with one row of data for each of the selected records in the data source. Now, insert a row at the top of that table and insert some field names in that and then save and use that document as the datasource for both your letters and their envelopes. -- Please respond to the Newsgroup for the benefit of others who may be interested.
