Ray,
There is no toolbar for calculations. To us a formula in a table go to Table - Formula - type in your formula e.g. = C1*(A2+B) hit OK. In your formula cell you will see the result with a grey background, to see the formula hit ALT+F9, to update the formula select your cell/table and hit F9. Also if there are already numbers in your cells Word will automatically assume you want to make the sum (sum (above), sum (left). If you want sums only you could also consider using the toolbar Tables and borders which has an AutoSum button. Luc "Ray" schreef in bericht ... I would like to do some simple calculation in a table. Luc,
Thanks for your useful information. I now know how to enter formula. I tried below formula but showed error. Doesn't Word accept such formula? =IF(SUM(H3)0,SUM(H3),"") Thanks, Ray "Luc" wrote in message ... Ray, There is no toolbar for calculations. The correct syntax is
{ IF { = SUM(H3) } 0 { = SUM(H3) } } You must use Ctrl+F9 to insert each pair of field delimiters { } and Alt+F9 to toggle off the display of the field code. -- Hope this helps.
