how can i create captions & table of figures
1- how can i create a caption for a figure and give it a number as (Figure
1.1) and let the word continue numbering the other figures automatically as (Figure 1.2 , Figure 1.3 , tec) in each time i'm inserting a caption ? what i'm doning now is writing the figures with the numbers manually ! 2- when i was trying to create a table of figure it gave me a massege that no nfigures found , i choosed one of the figures and arranged it as ( inline with text) it appeares with the caption but without the number of the figure! Like that ( Figure €Ž0:1Multi -Stage Flash Plant 13) how can i do that easily and faster ! Thanks Tahani |

how can i create captions & table of figures
Insert | Reference | Caption for the first question. If your figures are
wrapped, the caption will be inserted (by default) in a text box. If this is Word 2003 or earlier, the Table of Figures can't see captions in a text box (yep, smart programming), so you need to either (a) insert both the figure and the caption inline (In Line With Text) or (b) put the caption in a frame instead or (c) put both figure and caption together in a frame. FWIW, (a) is preferable when possible, but if you *must* wrap text around a figure and caption, then (c) is the best option. -- Suzanne S.
