Default Can I update custom file properties automatically

Hi,
I am wondering if I can update multiple the custom properties at the same
time. Basically, if I have a field that I use 15 times in the document, will
I have to right-click -- select Update field 15 times, or is there a way to
do it once, so the entire document gets updated.

Thanks,
Anna
