Default Setting up a new Style for programming code: No Caps

I would like to set up a style so that the first letter of a paragraph is not
capitalized and the auto-correct doesn't capitalize it. (I want to be able to
type in lower case without the application correcting it.)

I am writing a technical document and I need to put in sections of code. Has
anyone done this successfully? I can get the newly created Style just the way
I want it except for the caps. I based my new Style on the "No Space" Style
and slightly adjusted the line spacing. Can I get the auto-correct function
to just ignore this Style?

I am using MS Word 2007 in Vista.

Sorry, the autocorrect capitalization pays no attention to styles. You can
turn it off for everything, or on for everything. I find it best to turn it
off and leave it off -- pressing the Shift key when needed isn't that great
a burden.

Go to Office button Word Options Proofing AutoCorrect Options and
clear the check box for "Capitalize first letter of sentences".
