Default Word 2007 Hanging Indent

In previous versions of Word, I could set a paragraph to be left aligned with
a hanging indent of .25". If I put a graphic in to the left of the text
(wrapping tight or square), then the text would shift over by the width of
the graphic, but it would still hold the hanging indent from the NEW location
of the text. (For example, if the graphic was 2", I would NOT have to change
the hanging indent to 2.25", the .25" would still work.) This way I could
change graphics/graphic sizes and my text would still look great.

Now in Word 2007, the hanging ident does not still hold as it did in
previous versions when I insert a graphic.

Can anyone tell me if this is a bug - or is there some other way to do this
in Word 2007?

Thanks!

Default Word 2007 Hanging Indent

I am so sorry, I should have been more clear. It is actually a hanging indent
as part of a bulleted list (I wasn't sure the bulleted list had anything to
do with it).

The hanging indent is part of the bulleted list. Looks good in Word 2003 and
on Word 2007 as long as it is in Compatability Mode. But as soon as I go into
pure docx format, I loose the hanging indent.

Thanks!

Default Word 2007 Hanging Indent

One of the peculiarities of this bug in earlier versions was that it didn't
apply to numbering or bullets applied with the Numbering or Bullets button.
Looks like they've removed that anomaly in Word 2007 and made it a universal
bug. sigh

Thanks for clearing that up. I will stop trying to get it to "work". And here
I thought it was something I could not find in Word 2007.
Thanks!

Well, don't take my word for it, since I'm not using Word 2007 yet, but it
does sound as if this bug has spread.

Default Word 2007 Hanging Indent

What you say makes sense. It is acting just like the regular hanging indent
in the same situation. (So far I am not overly thrilled with Word2007 - but I
guess I will have to get used to it.)
