I am not getting the bottom status which normally appears whenever we click
"Word" icon. The status bar should as appear as an tool but it is not
appearing and only I am getting a scroll bar at the bottom even though I
tried ticking all the available option ins the tool bars.

It isn't in the toolbars list, it's in Tools Options View. Check the box
for "Status bar".
