Default Opening a file in Word

When using 'open in word2003 it always goes to my 'H' drive how can I default
it to go to my 'I' drive? Or does it just 'open' in a randpom folder?

The initial document directory is set from tools options file locations
Documents. Thereafter for the remainder of the Word session it defaults to

the last used folder.

Go to the Tools menu and select Options. Then click on the Files tab. Click
Documents and Modify. Select your "I" drive and click OK.

I hope this helps.
