equation editor and symbol font
I have been having trouble when inserting relational symbols -- for example,
if I type the equals (=), another character displays. In the Equation Editor, I went to Styles - Define to check the font selection. For Symbols, the font selected is "Bookshelf Symbol 7." When I click the down arrow to go select just the "Symbol" font, it isn't in the list. However, when I'm in Word (and not in the equation editor), "Symbol" does appear in my font list. How do I get the Symbol font to show up for selection in the Equation Editor? I am running Word 2003 (11.6359.6360) SP1 Windows 2000 5.00.2195 Service Pack 4 Thanks, Rita -- rhewell |

Turns out my Symbol font wasn't true type. Have no idea how that happened.
Things are working fine now. "rhewell" wrote: I have been having trouble when inserting relational symbols -- for example, if I type the equals (=), another character displays.
