Default Notification link does not work

Using latest xp and IE7

I cannot find a newsgroup on newsgroups, if there is one please give me the
url. I look here and
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...s/default.aspx

This is a question on these office newsgroups...

I always check notify me of replies, and I get an email from the MS
newsgroup (not from some 3rd party) when someone replies, when I click on the
link to read it, IE7 opens up with a very long URL, and it says done in the
lower left corner, but there is noting displayed anywhere. If I paste that
URL from IE7 to latest FireFox, I still get nothing.

Since the notification includes my exact subject, and have been copying that
to Google in quotes to find it in these newsgroups.

This is not a problem with other newsgroups, such as the MS Expression Web
newsgroups: the link in their notification works fine.

Any ideas on what is wrong?
Thanks
Bob

Unfortunately, the Web implementation of newsgroups is far from perfect. If
you can stand not to have notifications but would like a far more efficient,
more easily searchable and configurable interface, you can access these
newsgroups (and all of Usenet) using Outlook Express or another NNTP
newsreader. See http://www.gmayor.com/MSNews.htm
