Default DELETING AUTOMATED LINES IN DOCUMENT

How do you delete an automated line within a document? The line is not a
drawing object, so I cannot select it and delete it. I inserted it by
holding my SHIFT button down, while tapping my ' - ' button twice, and then
pressing the ENTER button. That function created a solid line that goes
across my document. Now I would like to remove it. What can I do?! Please
help!

I don't know how to delete it, but I know how to eliminate it.
1. Open a new document.
2. Leave several returns between your text and the line.
3. Highlight the test.
4. Copy.
5. Paste into the new document.
6. In the "Paste Options" box that appears in the lower corner of your
paste, click: "Keep Text Only".

Did you read the referenced article? It explains cause, cure, and
prevention, none of which require the Paste Options button.
