Mail merge with Outlook contacts
I'm trying to set a mail merge for envelopes using Outlook contacts for data
source. Word 2003 tells me it is unable to provide data tables from the data source. Do I need to change something in either Outlook 2003 or Word 2003 to make this connection? -- Jim |

Mail merge with Outlook contacts
It's probably simpler to change your approach and initiate the merge
from Outlook - choose the contacts you want to merge, then use Outlook-Tools-Mail Merge... and read the options carefully. (The first time, you'll probably want to create a new document or template, which you shoud save in Word. Thereafter, you shoud be able to re-use that). If you have existing templates/documents, be careful because the mailmerge field names Word sees when you "initiate the merge from Word" are not all the same as the ones when you "initiate the merge from Outlook" Peter Jamieson http://tips.pjmsn.me.uk Visit Londinium at http://www.ralphwatson.tv Jim wrote: I'm trying to set a mail merge for envelopes using Outlook contacts for data source.
