Default When printing a 6 page doc some of the page will be print brown

When printing a 6 doublesided doc some of the pages will show up in brown ink
or have a squashed (bold Print)reddish hue. Even after I select the pages
and assign the black under the font. I am using a hp 4215 all in one printer
and there is only one word on the doc that is red and I have changed that to
black with the same outcome. I have done single pages to the black font with
the same results. Anyone got a clue?
