Help Unreadable Word 2002 Documents
I recently had to reinstall Windows XP. The hard drive was reformatted as
well. All is well except all of my "old" documents in Word are decoded with some converter and are unreadable. I even re installed Office and Word. Nothing has worked. Help..... |

Hi Evg,
In Tools=Options=General turn on [x] Confirm Conversions on open to see what file type Word thinks the files are. In File=Open check to see if you have set the file type to 'Word Document' rather than 'recover text...' ========== "EVG" wrote in message news I recently had to reinstall Windows XP.
